Gunny's Phunnies, latest Phunnie GP14 up.

.. covering mostly WW2, through the eyes of an avid 21st Century collector. Exclusively made for Green Leader's Unofficial 21st Century Fan Club, I think there are now enough of them "in the can" to spread the word to other forums, while I work up more. These are experimental, so bear with me while I work out the kinks of reaching the right balance of audio and video quality, while yet keeping the file sizes low and easy to download and play. The 1st was all "stitched" back together, and will be the longest to load, but after that, the "Phunnies" are in smaller chunks, so you can watch a little or a lot of a given topic, as you wish and have time for.

These are NOT made to be played full screen, but rather in the native size they each may have. Best if played in Quicktime, but will also work with RealPlayer and Windows Media Player, if you have the Quicktime codecs or plug-ins installed in those listed players. If you have a Mac, you should already have Quicktime on your machine, PC folks may have to install the codecs or install Quicktime for Windows.

So, in order as presented on Green Leader's Photo Section, here are the first 5 episodes of Gunny's Phunnies, and thanks to GL all without ADS or Banners to slow down your fun. M5 Stuart, Kettenkrad and Motorcycle with sidecar, M2 Bradley, Patton DCC, and Kubelwagons. More to come if the interest holds on.

The latest Phunnie, GP14, "Who the Hecks is Jonah Hex". This is the link to the Green Leader page with the piece rendered in 4:3, as a wmv file, in one whole piece. The original file as I sent was very large, and GL needed it in a much smaller file size, so he did what he could to get it down. Can't blame him for that, as he has paid for years to host many photos and videos for years, and it ain't getting any cheaper.

This is the phunnie rendered in its original 16:9 widescreen .mov format, and in 3 small segments, in reduced frame rate and audio size, but in a bit bigger physical size for a bit easier viewing. These are hosted on my own outboard account.

I have logged into the link provided, using an already valid Facebook account. Hit the join button, not sure what is supposed to happen next. To be honest, I'm not a fan of Facebook and a lot of other social network sites, for security reasons, privacy reasons, and intellectual property rights issues.

Been using several other 1/6 hobby forums for well over a decade, and others not directly 1/6, because they tend to be more secure, and not have the problems I listed above.

In saying that, next time I complete a project or have another report of some event, I'll look into posting same in the new "Box".

Well, according to this post ....

... the invite to join and post sounds a bit hollow, as in my experience, it's been more than a month, and not one word back if I'm "in" or not, and it sounds like people are selected to be in or not.

In logging in and looking at the membership roster, I see people have joined in at least a month and are listed as members, so whatever the magic handshake is, I can't tell you.
